Although some might think pioneer means old, in the field of oncology nursing, the term recognizes the nurses who started and developed the profession.

Eating fruits and vegetables was a struggle for me for a long time. Nearly two years ago, I set out to change my health—particularly by changing my weight. Now, fruits and vegetables make up a large portion of my daily intake. Still, I know I should eat more of them. Not only are they full of vitamins, but they are typically high in fiber, helping you feel fuller longer. Yes, I need some of that, please.

The National Com­pre­hen­sive Can­cer Net­work (NCCN) has recently released the new NCCN Clin­i­cal Prac­tice Guide­lines in Oncol­ogy for Lung Can­cer Screen­ing. Lung can­cer remains the lead­ing cause of cancer-​​related death in the United States and the world; guid­ance on using effec­tive screen­ing tools for early detec­tion can assist in the effort to decrease mor­tal­ity rates.
